Family Crest

This was my first full vector project using Illustrator CS5 - this graphic is 100% vector with no PS fixups.

I freaking love CS5. It's such a step up from CS4 *hugs new shiny DVD box in consumerist fashion*. The new "draw inside" (read: FH's Paste Inside) is process-changing and really does save a huge amount of time.

This was my first attempt at a family crest... and I think it turned out pretty well. The surrounding fabric is referenced heavily from the Grand Royal Coat of Arms of France. See here: [link]

It was a nice day-break from my other "serious business" design work - plus - my client loves it and that makes me smile.
